CORNWALL SEA FISHING TRIPS
If you are looking for full-day fishing charters, South East Cornwall offers one of the most prolific shark fishing grounds in the UK with crystal clear water and distances that can be reached within an hour to an hour and a half.
The daily charters are operated for a full day of Shark, Reef, and Wreck fishing. The day trip usually starts around 9 AM and lasts for about 8 hours. If you want a longer trip, you can plan a customised trip on booking.
The boat ventures for 8 to 15 miles into the sea and the boat engine is stopped after cruising into the sea. The boat is then allowed to drift and pushed by tides and winds in the English channel while we fish for sharks.
We use quality gear and tackle that is most suitable to the angler. We help anglers to catch Blue Sharks, weighing over 100lb, regularly and occasionally catch Porbeagle and Thresher sharks.
While fishing for sharks, utmost care is taken to prevent any injuries from hooks or barbs to sharks. We use minimal barbs and always ensure to place the fish in a wet area.
We have a strict policy to release all sharks that are caught back into the sea quickly to reduce any harm.
Shark Fishing Charter
South East Cornwall has long coastal stretch in the UK and provides best fishing grounds for Porbeagle Sharks, which are the top predator sharks in the UK. Porbeagle sharks are bulky and muscular sharks.
It is highly challenging to catch the Porbeagle sharks, so every angler wants to catch them. For Porbeagle charters, we allow no more than six anglers per charter.
You can also catch Blue sharks as they are back in large numbers off the coast during summer. If you're lucky, you can find a thresher shark as well.
During a good season, we have caught over 500 sharks. You may get exhausted by handling a large number of sharks and have an arm aching fishing day.
Reef and Wreck Fishing
The reef and wreck charters go further into the sea in good weather conditions. It covers various wrecks and reefs when the water is slack and allows the boat to drift by the action of winds and tides.
You have maximum chance of catching the fish when the boat is drifting. The reef and wreck fishing charters are suitable for experienced anglers who like to spend their entire day fishing.
On the Reef and Wreck fishing charter, we target fish like Pollock, Cod, Coalfish, and Ling. The fishing rods used in this charter are light in weight and weighs about 20 to 30 lb with artificial lures tied on French boom. The Pollock are challenging when you catch them, as they try hard to get back into the reef, so you need to use all your strength to control them. The reef and wreck charters provide an opportunity to learn all the necessary fishing skills, with our high level of experience.
