Half Day Fishing Charters

REEF AND MACKEREL FISHING TRIPS IN CORNWALL

An entire day out fishing while onboard The Swallow is amongst the most effective ways to enhance your possibilities of catching a large fish. Our skipper will provide you with virtually everything you require, and you'll be out on the water within 30 minutes!

A normal fishing day starts at 9 a.m. and departs from the Harbour. On the way, we stop to catch mackerel for fresh bait. If there are no mackerel, we will source bait prior to the trip.

Half Day Reef Fishing

Reefs can differ in the way they look. They can vary from comparatively flat slate ground to big rocky pinnacles. Pollock are found in large numbers, close to the rocky pinnacles of any deepwater reef. Ling and Congers are found in large numbers at the bottom of the reef and on flatter marks too.

Fishing at a depth of water, anchor, tidal flow, ebb tide or flood tide, wind direction and speed, the temperature of the water, or fishing on the drift ought to be taken into our consideration. The time of the year will determine which particular species of fish you'd like to target. We can then provide instructions or offer the tackle to match the conditions.

2 Hour Mackerel Fishing

The Cornwall coast offers a great opportunity for catching mackerel during the summer. We provide top-quality rods and reels to make sure that your sea fishing experience is one to remember. We will also unhook all the fish to decrease the risk of injury to yourselves. We operate our fishing trips on most of the days during the summer. You can easily take your catch of mackerel home for the barbecue. However, bear in mind to bring a carrier along with you to take the fish home.

We recommend that you reserve your place in advance to avoid disappointment due to the popularity of these fishing trips.

On most days, The Swallow may be Reef or Shark fishing. When weather and tides permit, late afternoon trips are hugely popular. This is due to the beautiful sunsets you will experience on the Cornish coast. You can also catch fish which will be much fresher for dinner!
